AnubiPharma

Anubi Pharma is a large internationally operating online shop for pharmaceuticals, owned by Nubia Shaheen.

The company started out as the simple online shop InterPharma in 1997, before almost going under in 2000 after the end of the Dot Com Bubble. Nubia has been an investor since 1997 and completely bought out the other investors in 2000.

After taking InterPhama off the Internet, it was relaunched with a new design as AnubiPhama six months later. By 2006, it became the largest online retailer or pharmaceuticals in Europe.

Ratiopharm GmbH

Ratiopharm is a fully owned subsidiary of AnubiPharma since 2008, producing and selling generica and OTC drugs.

Since 2010, the company has expanded its production capacity and began to produce a high quality human analogue insulin and began to work on research into rare diseases and other medical conditions, and selling pharmaceuticals to treat these vastly below production cost.

US Market

In 2015, AnubiPharma began to aggressively expand into the US Market, pushing their Ratiopharm house brand, which is usually cheaper than many of their US competitors.

When the cost of human analogue insulin rose massively in the late 2010s, Ratiopharm insulin remained low cost, but it’s high quality made it one of the most bought items in the US catalog of AnibuPharma. This, in combination with an aggressive marketing campaign made it as well known as Amazon and forced US pharma companies to reduce their prices.
